Cholecystectomy and other operations that can be performed both open and laparoscopically will not be shown separetly in consolidated sheet. Is there any way to show laparoscopic ops. in consolidated sheet?

Yes; this is extremely important to be able to summarise laparoscopic procedures.
This can be done easily on the ISCP logbook.
Can this be added to Elogbook please.

There is a separate entry for laparoscopy just after level of supervision.
There are four choices:
- Not recorded
- Laparoscopic
- Laparoscopy: assisted
- Laparoscopy: converted to open
If this section is recorded for each operation, then it can easily be found out which cases were performed laparoscopically.

Yes, this information is recorded in the logbook.
But I can see no way of summarising this data to work out how many laparoscopic cholecystectomies / appendiectomies / colorectal resections I've performed or assisted with. Can this field be used to produce summaries??
Does anyone know how to do this???

This function is only available for paediatric surgery so far.
You will have to add a filter, and in the elements of the filter, select 'Laparoscopy (Paediatric)'
On the consolidation sheet, select the view with the filter you have created.
I have requested the helpdesk if they can create a similar filter feature for General Surgery, will update you on their reply.

What did the helpdesk say Raza?? Will they add this valuable function. I
asked them last year and they had no immediate plans.
