Proving competencies using the FHI portolio for ST1-2 when slotting in as an SHO
The ISCP curriculum currently asks ST1-2 to prove common core competencies e.g. Basic sciences, Basic Surgical Skills which should be covered by the relevant exams and course. However it does not appear to be as simple as one's trainers looking at the exam result and assuming a certain level of knowledge - new trainees have 'show' they have the competency. One way that this has been suggested is too enter the courses in the portfolio and then include the objectives in the reflective practice box. This is extremely irritating but necessary to tick boxes.

Does anyone else know of another way to do this? Is anyone else doing it this way?
