Cannot load the PC ePortfolio V3 logbook on windows vista
Hello
I have windows vista on my laptop and would like to install the PC ePortfolio V3 logbook.

Each time I have installed the application, i get the following error:

Microsoft .NET Framework
Access to the registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\RCSEd\PCLogbookV3\1.0.0.102
is denied

I have tried to install the logbook with the firewall turned off (McAfee) but still no joy.

I woudl appreciate some help / feedback as it would be incredibly useful to have this application on my laptop.

Many thanks

Kevin

Here is the solution - I've tried it on 4 PCs now all successfully.

First download BUT DO NOT RUN the setup file.
Make sure your virus/malware software is turned off.
Right click on the setup file and select "Properties"
You should see a tab labled "Compatability" - select this tab
Tick the box for "Run this program in compatability mode for"
From the drop down box make sure you select "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)"
Tick the box for "Run as Administrator"
Click on "Apply" then "OK"
Now double-click on the setup program like usual.

Hope this helps!
