We are pleased to announce the release of a Version 2.0 of the Pocket PC electronic logbook, this is designed to work on Pocket PC 2002 and Pocket PC 2003 and Mobile 5 versions of the operating system, and has not been tested on other versions of the Pocket PCs.

Instructions for use |
- If you have previously installed a Beta version of this software please first synchronise any changes you may have made and then uninstall it.
- Installation is performed via ActiveSync installed on your PC, you must therefore dowload and install the components onto you PC first. We are investigating direct download from the website to the PDA device and will release details in due course.
- Download the Pocket PC based logbook installtion program from here , you may need .NET framework 1.1 which you can be installed via Windows Update or downloaded from here.
- Run the Pocket PC installation file on your PC to install the system onto your PDA
- Select which operating system is installed on your Pocket PC. Note if you are not sure if you have PocketPC 2003 or 2003 SE then please install version 2003 this will ensure that all the necessary components are copied to your device.
- When prompted on the PDA you may be asked if you want to over write some files, reply "yes to all".
- Launch the "Electronic Logbook" from within the programs section of your PDA.
- The first time you launch the PDA application you will need to undertake a setup procedure which involves copying your user details from the Server, and downloading the latest operation codes and hosiptal codes..
- The setup procedure will take approximately 5 mins during which your PDA must have access to the Internet either via your PC or directly by a wireless or mobile connection.
- This system operates as a fully functioning logbook and can store a complete set of operation records and portfolio forms within its 128bit encrypted secure database. It provides full synchronisation of this database with the Server.
